History
Harlan is a native Clevelander who grew up in Cleveland Heights and received his bachelor's degree from Case Institute of Technology of Case Western Reserve University.
He joined General Electric Company as a Computer Programmer in 1977. His major achievement during his seven year tenure was as part of the TREND team, implementing and supporting Lighting Group's first on-line order entry system.
In 1984 Harlan moved to SDS Biotech as a Senior Systems Analyst, concentrating on Purchasing applications and departmental databases using early relational database management systems and integrated development environments.
Conley, Canitano and Associates, Inc. provided a thirteen year contracting and consulting venue in which he developed technical skills on systems ranging from personal computers to mainframe and was involved as a technical leader in several platform and software migrations.
Harlan has taken on a number of engagements since 2002 including SOX remediation, operational reporting, product catalogs, and university advancement (CRM).
